We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. It is located just round the corner from the Charles Bridge on the Mala Strana side of the river at the end of a cul-de-sac. The hotel consists of 2 buildings on either side of the street. The building on one side was converted into an hotel around 1999 and the other 2 years later. We were in the 'newer' one which is the building to the right as you are looking from the bridge, called Biskupski Dum II. We had chosen this hotel after originally thinking about staying in a similar priced hotel on Wenceslas Square but having seen some of the reviews we decided that Wenceslas Square would be a tad noisy for us.

The staff were pleasant and helpful. At the time we stayed we got 4 nights for 3. This was applicable for arrivals on Sun or Mon and weekend stays were presumably more expensive. Being in the late 40/early 50 age bracket we were not out in Prague for a boozy, rowdy weekend and therefore avoided the weekend and got the better rates.

The location of the hotel was ideal and only about 10 mins walk from anywhere of interest (though the walk up to the castle/cathedral took more than 10 mins as quite steep. There are lots of restaurants in Mala Strana and the one we enjoyed most was the Grill U Seminarsky which was almost round the corner from the hotel. The food was varied and good and the staff were entertaining.

Prague was busy but well worth the visit. All in all a good autumn city break. I'd go back to Prague and the Biskupsky Dum.
